Join us for a community fundraiser for MoCo Reconnect, the community’s new drop-in center for LGBTQ+ youth. Order in or take out at Nando’s in downtown Silver Spring. 40% of the proceeds will go to MoCo Reconnect! Pastor Matt will be dining in at 6 PM, if you want to stop in and say HI.
MoCo Reconnect provides services to youth ages 16-24 who are unstably housed, looking for a job, or just need a safe space to feel heard and valued.

This Sunday is National Ice Cream Day! Our church is having an ice cream social to celebrate. Come enjoy ice cream, mingle, and connect with our inclusive community. Ice cream served immediately after worship.

During our annual memorial for Robert White, a neighbor who was shot and killed by a MCPD officer in 2018, we will draw our attention to the ongoing demands for police accountability within the context of our faith tradition.
We will be joined by Irene Thompson, sister of Robert L. White. We will also welcome DeSean Smith, who was recently assualted at the Silver Spring Metro by WMATA Police.
Later on Sunday at 4 PM, join Silver Spring Justice Coaltion, CCC Members, and allies for a public action at the Silver Spring Metro in support of DeSean as we protest police profiling and ongoing violence in our community.
It takes so many people to keep the ministries and programs going at CCC. For those you see and hear, there are many more behind the scenes. We will take time to celebrate all of our volunteers in worship on Sunday. Please join us in person or online to say, “Thanks!” A reception follows the service in the outdoor portico.
