Past Workshops

Healthy, Safe, and Easy Cooking with Ife!

This fun and tasty workshop was led by Ife DaSilva. This “Food Network Style” workshop focused on techniques for preparing healthy and delicious meals that don’t require the use of the stove. This is helpful to people of all ages-whether a college student stuck in the dorm (or quarantine!), or at a point in life where it’s difficult to use the stove. She also covers some basic daily nutritional needs, reading nutrition labels, and safety in the home.

Check out Ife’s delicious recipes from the workshop (pdf)

Blood Pressure Screenings

CURRENTLY SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID-19.

The Health Ministry Team holds regular blood pressure screenings the second Sunday of each month following the worship service.

Church Loaner Closet for Medical Assistive Devices

CCC has medical assistive devices and equipment available for temporary use for CCC members and friends. We have available: wheelchairs, bedside commodes, shower/tub benches, elevated toilet seats, crutches, canes and walkers with and without wheels and also a kneeling scooter. If you are planning a surgery, or have a mishap or illness and need some temporary assistance, consider borrowing equipment from CCC before purchasing on your own. Contact the church office to arrange pick-up and check out of equipment.

Although we appreciate your donations of medical assistive devices and equipment, the church has limited space to store these items.  Before you leave devices and equipment at the church, please contact the church office or Trish Esposito.
