Pentecost celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church. Join us in person and online as we celebrate the Spirit. We invite you to wear RED to worship. Pastor Matt continues his sermon series on Romans. Special music by Sarah Cotterill’s cello students.
Join us at 10:30 AM, in person or on Zoom, as we celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism and the Rite of Confirmation. Every other year, CCC offers the opportunity for students in 9th and 10th grade to enter our Covenant Class and go through the confirmation process. Our Covenant Class includes meeting one-on-one with a mentor: a seasoned member of the congregation. Students also had the opportunity to attend a retreat with Pastor Matt at the Retreat Center last March. The congregation will also welcome our Covenant Class as full, active members of the congregation.
In addition to Confirmation, Pastor Matt will baptize Bobby Ryan-Silva and Theo Robelen.

Pastor Matt continues a sermon series on the Book of Romans entitled, “How the Great Promise Failed Us.” We will also celebrate the Sacrament of Communion. Join us for a special Earth Day Celebration at CCC. Worship begins in person and online at 10:30 AM. The featured speakers is Dr. Beth Norcross. With extensive training and experience in both theology and ecology, Beth Norcross founded and directs the Center for Spirituality in Nature, which offers experiences in nature that open individuals to a lived, loving connection with the Divine Mystery and the natural world. Beth brings to her current work extensive experience in the environmental field, as staff for the US Senate Parks Subcommittee and as Vice President of Conservation for American Rivers. She is also the co-founder of the Green Seminary Initiative and adjunct professor at Wesley Theological Seminary. She has written numerous articles and curricula related to ecology and spirituality.
