Notice of the 2026 Annual Meeting
Of Christ Congregational Church, UCC. 8900 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910
Sunday, June 7th at 12 PM (following the worship service)
The agenda includes acceptance of the 2026 Annual Report and other reports, approval of the 2025 Annual Meeting minutes, approval of the FY2026/27 Unified Budget, election of leadership for FY2026/27, vote on whether to retire the Retreat Center Member Loans with building sale proceeds, and consideration of such other church business as appropriate.

Have an amendment to any motion on the agenda? Any motion amendments must be received in writing to the CCC Moderator and Clerk no later than one week prior to the meeting date.

Annual Meeting Potluck Brunch – Sign Up
Our June 7th Annual Congregational Meeting will include discussion and votes on several important issues, including our budget for 2027. We will enjoy a potluck brunch for food and fellowship before the meeting starts. Please sign up to contribute to the meal. Thanks for your support!
On Sunday May 3, and Wednesday May 6th via Zoom, we held Budget Town Hall Meetings to discuss the proposed 2026-2027 CCC budget. Here is the link to listen to the Sunday Town Hall meeting. There will be a vote on the final draft of the budget at the Annual Meeting on June 7, so please take advantage of one of these sessions to gather the facts you need to vote your heart at the Annual Meeting.
On Sunday April 26th, we held a Congregational Information / Q&A Session to discuss a proposal (attached here for your review) to use part ($110,000) of the proceeds from the sale of our building at 9525 Colesville Road to retire the member loans associated with the renovation of the Retreat Center. There will be a vote on the proposal at our Annual Congregational Meeting on June 7, so if you missed this Information Session, please listen to the recording here so that you are informed in advance of the vote.
On March 22nd, the Landing Place Team presented representative options for future church homes and then asked for feedback from the congregation. Here is a report on the feedback received by the Landing Place Team. The report gives an overview, presents a graphical and numerical summary of the ratings, and includes all of the thoughtful written comments received.
