Rev. Dr. LaTayna Purnell is the Associate Minister of Care and Community at Christ Congregational Church in Silver Spring. She brings a deep commitment to pastoral care, community building, justice, and belonging. Rooted in a Black, queer, womanist, and liberation-centered faith, Pastor LaTayna is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and connected. Her ministry is shaped by a love for the church, a heart for people, and a belief that care, community, and justice are central to the life of faith.
