Prelude

 *Call to Worship

Let us sing praises to God, all you faithful ones,
and give thanks to God’s holy name.
God does not abandon us in our distress.
God’s healing presence restores us to life.
Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
Indeed, God turns our mourning into dancing;
God takes off our sackcloth and clothes us with joy.
Let the peoples praise you, O God, and not be silent.
O Lord, our God, we will give thanks to you forever!

*Hymn of Praise # 591                                This Is My Song                                               FINLANDIA

Prayer Of Invocation And The Lord’s Prayer
Gracious and loving God, we give you thanks for all the blessings we experience—the freedom to worship you without fear, the bounty and diversity of your creation, and the precious gift of unexpected joy.  As we draw near to you this hour, may we immerse ourselves in your healing presence.  Refresh us and renew us that we might become faithful laborers in your harvest of peace, justice, and joy.  We pray as Christ taught us to pray saying...Holy God, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name.  Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.  Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.  Amen.

Musical Response  # 52, verse 3                                                                    O HOW I LOVE JESUS
There is a Name
It bids me serve amid the wrath God’s people face each day,
And sheds along life’s troubled path bright sunshine on my way.
O How I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus, whose love has first found me.

*Prayer of Dedication
We give thanks to you, O God, for you have blessed us with all we need to do your work.  Empower and embolden us to use our gifts in your service.
May our sharing be a sign of your in-breaking realm and a source of healing and hope to a world in need.  We pray this in the name of the One who sends us out, Jesus the Christ.  Amen.

Prayers of the People
The congregation and worship leaders are invited to give voice to prayers, both concerns and celebrations, for our world, our country, our community, and our church. At the close of the Prayers of the People join together in singing the following sung response.
