Spirit of God, Descend Upon My Heart

Prayer Of Invocation And The Lord’s Prayer
God of prophets both ready and reluctant, may our hearts be renewed by your Spirit – a Spirit that opens our eyes to your vision for the world; a Spirit who invites us to be prophets of your way.  May we be receptive to your Spirit.  We pray as Jesus taught us to pray saying…Holy God, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name.  Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.  Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.  Amen.

                                                                      There is a Name
            It tells my Savior’s love for all; Christ died to set us free;
Whatever problems may befall, we’ll live in dignity.
            O How I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus,
            O how I love Jesus, whose love has first found me.
