*Call to Worship
The journey has been long; sometimes challenging and sometimes joyous.
It has been a time filled with mysteries and miracles.
We rejoice! For Jesus Christ is in our midst.
Jesus comes to us with joy and hope.
Hosanna!
Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of our God!

Prayer Of Invocation And The Lord’s Prayer
Joyous God, we enter into the story, awaiting your coming in a most surprising way—unrehearsed, without ceremony, on an unridden donkey. Receive each prayer which we have offered and touch our lives as you pass by. As Jesus prayed together we say…
Holy God, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Call to Confession
let us confess how much we are like the Jerusalem people of long ago.
Prayer of Corporate and Personal Confession
Holy and gentle God,
We confess that we want you to meet our expectations
rather than changing our lives to meet yours.
We confess that we are often changeable and self-centered
like the Jerusalem crowd shouting “Hosanna”
one day and “Crucify” the next.
We confess that we prefer this festivity of Palm Sunday
to the quiet sadness of Holy Week.
Forgive us all our transgressions and help us take up
our own crosses and follow you. silent reflection…
Assurance of Grace
When we cry “Hosanna,” God enters our lives with forgiveness.
God turns us around, opens our eyes and renews our faith.
We are truly blessed. Thanks be to God. Amen.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God for all that love has done;
Creator, Christ, and Spirit, One.
*Prayer of Dedication
Loving God, we lay gifts before you, as palms were placed before Jesus so long ago. We offer them with thanksgiving, and joy. Receive them from our hands that they may become a greater blessing in yours. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
