*Call to Worship adapted from Isaiah 43:1-21 and Psalm 126
Come, Beloved, for the Great Giver has restored your fortunes –
Let us tell of abundance as we shout with joy!
Come, Growers, for the Creator has brought up rivers in the desert –
Let us declare our praise as we plant our fields!
Come, Pilgrims, for the Righteous One has set a path through the sea –
Let us rejoice as we make our journey!
Come, People of God, for the Holy One has done great things for us!
Let us worship God!

Prayer Of Invocation And The Lord’s Prayer
Loving God, every day you ask us to be your people. In times of struggle, you send us light. When we are tried and weary, you give us energy and hope. In our thirst for meaning and purpose, you bring us to living water. As we search for Lenten treasures show us the joy of discovery and open our eyes to new possibilities. Help us see Christ as our center and inspiration. Together we pray, Holy God, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Words from the Minister
Introduction
Questions to the New Members
Is it your desire to enter into covenant relationship with Christ Congregational Church, United Church of Christ?
Response
It is. We will seek to be faithful, with God’s help. We pledge to share with you the joys and sorrows of our life together, affirming our mutual ministry in Christ.
Christ Congregational Church Covenant Ann Marshall
We covenant with one another as a community of faith grounded in God, the source of all life. We seek to walk in the ways of God’s abiding love, made known or to be made known to us through the Holy Scriptures, the life and teachings of Jesus, and the continuing guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives and worship. Affirming that all persons are created in the image of God, we honor and celebrate people of all races, cultures, ages, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. In our life together we endeavor to support each other on our spiritual journeys with open minds and loving hearts. We hold it to be the mission of the church to embody the good news of God’s love for all people by laboring for the progress of knowledge, the promotion of justice, and the reign of peace. We work and pray for the transformation of ourselves and all creation into realms of God’s compassion; and in faith we place ourselves in God’s hands, in death as in life.
Welcome and Promise from the Congregation Pete Macleod

*Doxology sung to the tune: OLD HUNDREDTH
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God for all that love has done;
Creator, Christ, and Spirit, One.
*Prayer of Dedication
Generous God, all that we have and all that we are belongs to you. Sharing with you what we have is a blessing to us. We dedicate this day, not only the things we can put in a plate or write on a piece of paper, but also the things we cannot touch: our hearts, our spirits, our passion, our resolve. Use them and use us. In Christ we pray. Amen.
