*Call to Worship
This day is holy to our Wise God!
We gather to listen for God’s word,
to discern God’s will, to worship with God’s people.
This day is holy to our Joyful God!
We are members of Christ’s body,
Christ’s family, Christ’s church.
This day is holy to our Powerful God!
The Spirit of God is upon us,
and we have been anointed to bring good news to all.
This day is holy to our Sweet God!
May the words of my mouth and the thoughts in our hearts delight you, O, God!
Let us worship our Holy God!

Prayer Of Invocation And The Lord’s Prayer
Loving God, you gather us from our separate lives to hear your revealing. You have appointed us for the work of your church. We seek your guidance, your wisdom, your way. Help us to perceive and understand your law, and then to follow you faithfully, as your people. Bind us together with you in worship, and transform us into the Body of Christ, alive with your Spirit in this place. We pray the prayer Jesus taught… Holy God, who are in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

CAll to Confession
It is good to acknowledge our transgression before God. Let us pray…
Prayer of Personal and Corporate Confession
we confess to you, Gracious God, that too often we look on your law as a burden, not a gift; an inconvenience, not a blessing. Rather than seeing your love revealed, we feel our own guilt magnified. Instead of rejoicing in your good news, we focus on our own shortcomings. Turn us around, Redeemer, and do not let our fears have dominion over us. Enlighten us, so that our words and deeds may be acceptable to you. Amen.
Assurance of God’s love
in spite of our individual inadequacies, God has called us together to be Christ’s Body, and each one of us is indispensible. God re-members us, giving each of us distinct gifts. God equips each of us to provide guidance and accountability for one another, that we all may become more faithful followers of Christ. We are all greater as one Body than any single member of us could be on our own. Thanks be to God. Amen.

Presentation of Tithes and Offering
Offertory Cantique de Jean Racine Gabriel Fauré
Sam Brush, piano
Verbe égal au Très-Haut, notre unique espérance, Jour éternel de la terre et des cieux,
De la paisible nuit nous rompons le silence : Divin sauveur, jette sur nous les yeux.
Répands sur nous le feu de ta grâce puissante ; Que tout l'enfer fuie au son de ta voix;
Dissipe ce sommeil d'une âme languissante, Qui la conduit à l'oubli de tes lois!
Ô Christ! sois favorable à ce peuple fidèle, Pour te bénir maintenant assemblé;
Reçois les chants qu'il offre à ta gloire immortelle,
Et de tes dons qu'il retourne comblé.
O Redeemer divine, our sole hope of salvation, Eternal light of the earth and the sky,
We kneel in adoration, O Savior turn on us Thy loving eye!
Send down on us the fire of Thy grace all consuming,
Whose wondrous might dispersed the powers of hell.
And rouse our slumbered souls within Thy radiance,
That they may awaken Thy mercy to tell!
O Christ bestow Thy blessing upon us, we implore Thee,
Who here are gathered on penitent knee,
Accept the hymns we chant to Thine eternal glory,
and these Thy gifts we return unto Thee.
*Doxology Sung to the tune: TALLIS CANON
To God, all glorious heavenly Light,
to Christ revealed in earthly night,
To God the Spirit now we raise
our joyful songs of thankful praise.
*Prayer of Dedication
Holy God, bless these gifts and offerings that they may be a sign of our intent to serve you. Use them and us to bring good news to the poor, proclaim release to the captives, and bring wholeness and healing to all who are hurting and oppressed. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
