Rehearsal: Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.
Choir Room
The Chancel Choir, comprised of older youth and young adults through senior adults, sings in worship weekly at the 10:30 a.m. service and offers larger choral works several times throughout the year. The choir makes an international concert tour every three to four years.
Youth
YouthPraise!
(Formerly Cantate!)
Worship leadership opportunities for youth in grades 6-12 are led each week by Nae Pearson and Kristen Curlee.
Worship teams of vocal and instrumental ensembles will gather every Sunday evening as a part of the Youth Ministry to plan youth worship and to offer their musical and artistic gifts and talents in our celebrations!
Children
Chapel Choir
For children K through 5th grade
Directed by Nae Pearson
Rehearsal immediately following worship
11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
This choir will rehearse each Sunday immediately following the conclusion of the 10:30 a.m. service. While parents enjoy the fellowship coffee hour in the social hall, choristers will gather in the choir room for a quick snack and a 30 minute rehearsal.
Song text sheets and listening CD’s enable even the youngest members of the choir to learn great music for worship.
Instrumental
Orchestra/String Ensemble and Solo Instrumentalists
(Intermediate through Advanced Players)
The CCC Orchestra plays several times throughout the year and rehearses on an "on-call" basis. This intergenerational group of intermediate to advanced players is a wonderful opportunity to mentor young players and to learn from more skilled players. Opportunities abound for solo instrumentalists to offer solo repertoire throughout the year in worship also.
Watch the Sunday bulletin for announcements of when this group will play!
Jane Weber (Strings) and Nae Pearson lead these groups. Please contact Nae at 301-585-8010, ext 224 to be included on the orchestral roster or to discuss the many ways in which you can participate instrumentally in the music ministry.
CCC Brass Ensemble
The newly formed brass ensemble is under the direction of Brian Frye. The ensemble will play several times throughout the year and all interested brass players are encouraged to contact the music office for full details! 301-585-8010, ext. 224
