Church School and Youth Group Registration
In order to prepare rosters for our teachers, please take a few minutes to register your children today for Church School and Youth Group. Registration materials can be mailed or dropped off at the church office. Please return Church School materials by September 11th and Youth Group Materials by September 18th.

Church School
Nursery Care
Care is provided during both the 9:00AM and 10:30AM worship services for infants and young
toddlers in the Nursery, Room 106 on the main floor. We are always looking for volunteers to staff the nursery at both services so please sign up for one Sunday a month and spend some time with the littlest among us.Church School Program

We continue to follow the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum, a developmentally appropriate, lectionary- based curriculum that explores the same themes and scriptures as Sunday morning worship. Our teaching teams prepare activities, crafts, games and stories to engage and excite our children as they learn and grow in faith. All children over age 2 start in worship with their families and leave for Church School following Children’s Time. The Lambs class use stories and activities from the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum, and, like the Nursery, meet every week. Classes for school-aged children and youth meet three Sundays a month (or four in five Sunday months). On the first Sunday of the month, the students in K-5th grade gather together in the Social Hall after Children's Time to explore the sacrament of Holy Communion through lessons and activities. They rejoin their families in the sanctuary for Communion.
At CCC we are committed to continuing our tradition of Christian Education by creating a safe and welcoming environment for all children; exploring scripture and theology with an open heart and open mind; providing teacher support and training; and growing in the Spirit together as a community in Christ. Our Church School teachers are adults willing to journey honestly with children as they explore questions of faith together. None of us fully comprehend God, nor are our own journeys of faith yet final. Church School is about creating a space for children and adults to grow in their relationship with Christ and each other. We invite you to join us on this journey.
CCC YOUTH GROUPS
At Christ Congregational Church we have a strong and growing youth program for youth ages 6th-12th Grade. This is our typical Sunday night schedule:
- 5:30 - Youth Group Dinner in the Social Hall- Dinner is prepared by youth families who sign up for 1 dinner preparation a school year. After dinner Youth clean up and prepare for worship
- 6:15 - Worship led by Pastor Matt and Dr. Nae Pearson
- 6:45 - Middle School and High School Youth Programs begin:
The 6th-8th grade youth plan and implement service projects, focus on the Faith Practices curriculum of Hospitality and enjoy fellowship events.
The 9th-12th grade are completing the Our Whole Lives sexuality curriculum and planning service projects and fellowship events for the spring.- 8:00 - Parent Pick UP
Monthly we have a potluck dinner and parent program in addition to the above programs for youth.
Besides our Sunday evening time together, we plan weekend retreats and service projects to foster community and faith formation.
The 2012 summer mission trip to Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity, Franklin West Virginia will be July 1st- July 7th, 2012 and is open to all 8th-12thg graders. Adult volunteers also welcome!Please reference the calendar of fellowship, service and educational events.
