We celebrate all people as children of God
embarking on their own spiritual journey. We seek to enable our members to connect with this holy power which is present throughout their lives.We seek to develop in our members:
- Security in their faith
- Confidence in their gifts for ministry
- Grounding in the Biblical story
- The righteousness to value experiences in advocacy and service as part of their living
- The certitude that they can rely on their community of faith
- Trust in their spiritual foundations and a thirst to see them deepen
We seek these ends through hands-on, experiential education in an atmosphere of love and acceptance.
The Board for Christian Education develops and implements the church’s educational programs for children, youth and adults. Programs include Sunday morning Nursery Care for infants and young toddlers, Church School for 3 year olds through 8th graders, skills training for teachers, worship and mission experiences, faith development opportunities for teachers, parents and families; worship, mission and fellowship programs for junior high and senior highs youth, summer camp and retreats at CCC’s West Virginia retreat house, and a variety of educational and spiritual programs for adults.
