Committees | Ruth Richardson Scholarship
The Ruth Richardson Scholarship was established in honor of Mrs. Ruth Richardson, a founding member of Christ Congregational Church and a teacher who maintained a lifelong interest in making higher education available to all students who wished to pursue their studies in the field of education.
The scholarship will be awarded at the end of the spring semester to an applicant who:
- Has completed 2 years or more of college or university study
- Has shown an interest in pursuing a career in a human service profession (with priority given to those in the education field)
- Is a member of Christ Congregational Church or whose parent(s) are members
The Ruth Richardson Scholarship Committee, in determining the recipient of the award, will take the following into consideration:
- The sincerity of intent
- Grade point average
- Volunteer experiences
- In-service training (work related experience)
